We use gEDA/gaf gschem(http://geda.seul.org) to draw schematics for circuitboards and pcb(http://pcb.sourceforge.net) to layout them.

We use SDCC(http://sdcc.sourceforge.net/) to compile code for the embedded systems and Python(http://www.python.org) for code running on host with performance critical parts compiled using gcc(http://gcc.gnu.org/) and wrapped with SWIG(http://www.swig.org/).

All code is written with GNU Emacs(http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/).
